  • KWIN city semiconductor park to be operational by December this year
    Minister for Large and Medium Industries in the Government of Karnataka, M.B. Patil, has informed that a 200-acre semiconductor park will be operationalized by December this year under Phase I of Knowledge, Wellbeing and Innovation (KWIN) City in Bengaluru. The minister made the announcemnet while speaking at the inaugural session of the 15th Strategic Electronics Summit-2026. 
  • AESL bags order for inter-state transmission project worth Rs 8, 500 crore
    Adani Group firm, Adani Energy Solutions (AESL), has bagged a new order worth Rs 8,500 crore. The order is for an inter-state transmission project in Andhra Pradesh to supply power to upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the Visakhapatnam region. The work involves the development of a substation at Pendurthi, Vizag, and a substation at Khammam-II, and will be executed through a special purpose vehicle. As per ET, the project will be designed to meet an estimated 4,500 MW of demand from green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities while also supporting rising electricity requirements from data centres and digital infrastructure in the Pendurthi–Vizag region.
  • TCS acquires land in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, likely to setup data centre
    Tech firm, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has acquired 200 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh and an 88-acre site near Pune. The Tata Group firm is likely to set up data centres under the OpenAI for India project in the southern and western parts of the country. As per ET, land acquisition aligns with OpenAI's earlier announcement that it would be the first customer of Tata’s data center business, HyperVault. Under HyperVault, TCS aims to develop 1 GW of data center capacity.
  • Jaipur Metro: Rajasthan CM performs groundbreaking for phase 2 work
    The chief minister of Rajasthan, Bhajanlal Sharma, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project. Sharma inaugurated the piling work at the metro depot in Sitapura, kicking off the work on the 41-km-long Phase-2 corridor. Estimated to cost Rs 13,037 crore, Phase 2 of the project will run from Prahladpura to Todi Mod, connecting key industrial and residential areas. It will comprise 36 stations, with 34 elevated and 2 underground near the airport stretch.
  • Government approves over Rs 7597 crores for four-laning of national highway in Telangana
    Union Cabinet has approved Rs 7,597.16 crore for the four-laning of key stretches of National Highway-63 and National Highway-563 in Telangana. The scope of work covers four-laning of the Armoor-Jagtial-Mancherial section of NH-63 and the Jagtial-Karimnagar section of NH-563, covering a combined length of 190.76 kilometres. As per updates, the Armoor-Jagtial-Mancherial stretch will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), while the Jagtial-Karimnagar section will be executed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (Toll) basis. The project aims to improve mobility, strengthen trade and logistics, enhance tourism and support the region’s agricultural and industrial economy.
