  • Suzlon bags new order from Tata Power
    Wind power firm, Suzlon Energy Limited, has bagged a new EPC order from Tata Power's clean energy arm, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL). The order is for a project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, that involves the installation of 127 S144 wind turbine generators with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each. The scope of work involves land acquisition, turbine supply, balance-of-plant works, pool substation, extra-high-voltage transmission line, commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.
  • Jupiter International inaugurates new unit in Baddi
    Solar cell maker Jupiter International Ltd has inaugurated a new cell manufacturing unit at its Baddi facility in Himachal Pradesh. The firm has invested Rs 550 crore in setting up a new 1.25 GW TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cell manufacturing unit. This expansion comes after the addition of 1 GW mono PERC solar cell manufacturing capacity at Baddi earlier this year.
  • Order worth Rs 264 crore bagged by Jupiter Wagons
    Manufacturer of railway freight wagons,  Jupiter Wagons, has bagged new orders worth Rs 264 crore. The orders are received from JSW (South) Rail Logistics and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). The order from JSW (South) Rail Logistics is worth Rs 122.88 crore and involves the supply of BFNSM1 rakes, along with BVCM wagons. Central Warehousing Corporation's order worth Rs 141.44 crore for the manufacture and supply of eight BLSS rakes comprising 32 BLSS-A wagons, 352 BLSS-B wagons, and eight brake vans.
  • Juniper Green Energy comissions India's largest wind turbine, expands footprint across Gujarat and Rajasthan
    Haryana-based renewable energy firm Juniper Green Energy has announced the commissioning of India’s largest wind turbine. As per the firm EN-182 wind turbine generator (WTG) with a 5 MW capacity and a 181 m rotor diameter, it is the largest (by rotor diameter) wind turbine commissioned in India to date. CEO of the firm, Ankush Malik, said that the commissioning of the turbine presented significant logistical and engineering challenges, particularly in transporting its blades that are approximately 89 metres long. Successfully installing  51 Envision’s EN 182 turbines over a short period of 6 months across multiple project locations is a testament to the meticulous planning, engineering, and execution capabilities of our teams. The firm successfully commissioned 82 MW of wind power capacity across Barmer in Rajasthan and the Surendranagar and Rajkot districts of Gujarat. 
  • Feintool launches its first production facility in India at Pune
    Swiss tool-making firm Feintool has launched its first production facility in India at Pune. As per the firm, production is now being ramped up to fulfil initial customer orders, with a focus on fine-blanked automotive components. The decision to launch the facility in India is strategic as India is the world’s third-largest automotive market and is expected to grow strongly. Currently, the firm has 18 production sites across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
