The state of West Bengal is set to get a new greenfield airport in Kalyani, Nadia. Around 1,000 acres of land is earmarked for the project, which will serve as the second commercial airport for the Kolkata metropolitan region. This project is a part of a broader aviation push in the budget, which also flags new airport or airfield proposals for Purulia, Balurghat and Malda.

The state government of Himachal Pradesh has cleared implementation agreements for 19 hydropower projects to be developed in the state. These projects range from 6 MW to 24 MW and have a combined capacity of 278 MW and an estimated investment of about Rs 3,336 crore.

These projects are: 9 MW Soyal Dashal, 6 MW Khauli-II, 9 MW Gramang, 10 MW Umli, 24 MW Bharmour Stage-I, 21 MW Bharmour Stage-II, 22.5 MW Harsar Stage-II, 19 MW Harsar Stage-III, 24 MW Tundah Stage-II, 18 MW Janglik, 15 MW Rupin Stage-II, 17 MW Dunali-I and II, 12 MW Jari, 18 MW Toral Kundli, 15 MW Tundan, 10 MW Kot Dogri, 8 MW Upper Kurmi, 11 MW Kalal Khol and 9.6 MW Melan hydroelectric projects.

K2 Group's flagship firm, K2 Infra, has secured a new order worth Rs 390.91 crore from the Telangana State Government. The order is for the construction, upgradation, strengthening, and maintenance of selected PRED roads in the Bhongir Circle under the Telangana Rural Roads Development Programme. The order covers Phase 1 (Package 2), which involves the development and maintenance of selected road stretches under the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department framework. The project aims to improve rural road connectivity in the Bhongir Circle and support smoother movement.

Mumbai-based luxury hotel chain Kamat Hotels has announced the opening of a new hotel in Gujarat.  The firm announced the opening of IRA by Orchid in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, featuring 50 well-appointed rooms.  The hotel will also house a multi-cuisine all-day dining restaurant, 24-hour in-room dining, a full-service gym, and five versatile banquet and meeting venues accommodating up to 500 guests. As per the updates, the property is well connected with Bhavnagar Airport, railway stations, and commercial centres. 

Multinational IT firm, Tech Mahindra, has leased 4 lakh sq ft of office space in Hyderabad. The space is leased at Aparna IT Hub in Kondapur village and covers the entire 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th floors across Blocks A and B. The space is leased for 10 years and has an initial monthly rent of Rs 3.06 crore, with a 15% rent escalation every three years.
