  • 91,314 sq ft office space leased by PepsiCo in Hyderabad
    Multinational food and beverage corporation PepsiCo India has leased 91,314 sq ft of office space in Hyderabad. The leased space covers the sixth and seventh floors of Laxmi Infobahn Tower 4 in Kokapet. The leased space will host a global capability centre (GCC) for PepsiCo India Capability Center LLP.

    According to the firm, the space is leased for 5 years with a monthly rental of nearly Rs 53 lakh per month and a 5% annual rent escalation, taking the total rent outgo to Rs 35 crore over the five-year lease period.
  • Madhya Pradesh based firm to set up food processing unit in Chhatarpur
    A Dhar-based firm, whose name has not been disclosed, plans to set up a food processing unit in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district. The firm plans to invest Rs 176 crore to develop a facility that will manufacture potato flakes and French fries.

    The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has allocated 14.16 hectares of land to the firm on a 99-year lease under the state’s industrial land allotment framework for the project.
  • Krishvi Group plans to invest Rs 760 crore in real estate projects in Bengaluru
    Real estate developer Krishvi Group has plans to invest Rs 760 crore in residential developments in Bengaluru. According to the updates, these projects will cover around 7 lakh sq ft of development across 6.5 acres of land in Hennur and HBR Layout, North Bengaluru.

    Krishvi Group said that the Hennur projects will be executed through outright acquisition, while the HBR Lakeside Residences project will be developed jointly. The investment is expected to generate a gross development value (GDV) of Rs 1,050 crore.
  • West Bengal gets defence manufacturing projects worth Rs 3,500 crore
    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stones for five brownfield expansion projects of Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) and Yantra India Ltd in West Bengal. The projects include three facilities of GRSE and two of Yantra India.

    The projects represent a combined investment of nearly Rs 3,500 crore in the state and are aimed at expanding defence manufacturing and industrial capacity. According to GRSE, the company has signed lease agreements with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) for two small shipyards located on either bank of the Hooghly, as well as a 32-acre riverside property at Raichak.
  • L&T's consortium with Mitsubishi bags order for project at Dubai airport
    Multinational engineering and construction firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T), in consortium with Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), has secured an order from Dubai Aviation City Corporation for work related to Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport. According to L&T’s order classification, the project falls under the ‘large’ category, with an order value ranging from Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.

    The project involves the design and construction of an Automated People Mover (APM) system for Phase 1 of Al Maktoum International Airport. L&T will be responsible for the design, procurement, delivery and integration of critical APM infrastructure and systems. Its scope of work includes guideways, DC traction substations, power distribution, signalling and telecommunications, onboard vehicle communication systems, platform screen doors and depot equipment.

    The project is part of a planned multi-phase expansion, under which Al Maktoum International Airport is eventually expected to handle 260 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of freight annually.
