  • Rashmi Group chalks out investment plan worth Rs 35,000 crores
    Kolkata-based industrial conglomerate Rashmi Group has chalked out an investment plan of Rs 35,000 crores for West Bengal. This investment will be spread across sectors like steel, power, and mining.  Out of the total investment plan, around Rs 30,000 crore would be invested to expand its iron and steel manufacturing capacity by an additional 7 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Further, Rs 5,000 crore would be spent on operationalising three coal mines acquired by the firm in Birbhum and Paschim Bardhaman districts.
  • 6 lakh sq ft office space leased by L&T Mindtree in Chennai
    Technology consulting and digital solutions provider L&T Mindtree has leased 6 lakh sq ft of office space in parent Larsen & Toubro’s IT park in Chennai. This space is spread across 12 floors in Tower 2 of the L&T Innovation Campus. The space is leased for 5 years at a monthly rental of Rs 4.09 crores. 
  • Toyota plans set up technology and manufactruing hub in Bengaluru
    Japanese automaker Toyota has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka state government. This MoU is for the development of a new 300-acre technology and manufacturing-focused hub near Bengaluru. As per the firm, the facility named TKM Bizintel Hub will be located at KWIN City along the Doddaballapur–Dabaspet corridor in Karnataka. It will be used for a mix of technology, engineering, testing, digital integration, and intelligent manufacturing initiatives.
  • Paramount Communications to set up manufactruing project in Narmadapuram
    Wire & cable manufacturing firm, Paramount Communications Limited, has plans to set up a greenfield manufacturing project at Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The firm will invest Rs 300 crores in its extra-high-voltage (EHV) cable portfolio to meet the need for specialised transmission products. The new facility will manufacture EHV cables up to 132 kV, specialised conductors, and elastomeric e-beam cables. As per updates, the firm is expecting a partial commissioning of the facility in Q1 FY28.
  • Smartworks plans to add 4.92 lakh sq ft space in Bengaluru
    Co-working and office space solutions provider Smartworks has leased 4.92 lakh sq ft office space at Sattva Aura in Bengaluru. The firm has leased the space for an amount of Rs 70 crores, which will be funded through internal accruals or issue proceeds. This comes as the firm is moving ahead rapidly with its expansion plans. Smartworks, as of now, has a total footprint of 16.1 million sq ft across 66 centres in 15 cities in India and Singapore.
