Tamil Nadu CM lays foundation for convention centre in Muttukadu

The Chief Minister (CM) of the state of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin, laid the foundation for Kalaignar International Convention Centre at Muttukadu, in Kanchipuram. Spread over a 38-acre project will feature a 10,000-seat exhibition hall, a 5,000-seat convention centre, and a 1,500-seat auditorium across a built-up area of 5.12 lakh sq ft. The project’s estimated cost is Rs 525 crore.

The centre would also have EV (Electric Vehicle) charging stations, and parking for more than 1,600 cars and 1,700 two-wheelers.

 

Asian Development Bank to invest USD 10 billion in India

Regional development bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has plans to invest $10 billion in India’s urban infrastructure over 5 years. The focus of the investment would be on metro rail expansion, regional rapid transit corridors (RRTS), and city-level services such as water, sanitation, and housing.

As per the ABD, the investment plan would combine sovereign loans, private sector funding, and third-party capital.

 

Oswal Group’s venture buys land parcel in Ludhiana

Oswal Group firm Vardhman Amrante has acquired a 7-acre land parcel in South City, Ludhiana. The firm is developing a mixed-use project, featuring upscale commercial and retail spaces on the land.

The land is strategically located on the main Canal Road, which boasts renowned residential townships and developments, excellent healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and is well-served by prominent retail and entertainment destinations.

 

Ashiana Housing launches residential housing project in Jaipur

Real estate developer Ashiana Housing has announced the launch of a new residential project, Ashiana Aravali, in Jagatpura, Jaipur. The project would offer  50 premium residences. The boutique development is designed to cater to upper-mid and premium homebuyers seeking exclusivity, greenery, and connectivity.

As per the firm, the project comprises 25 spacious residences of 4 BR (4-bedroom) and 3 BR (3-bedroom) units each. The 4 BR residences would have 2 types, 2641 sq-ft and 2630 sq-ft, and the 3 BR residences would have 2312 sq-ft. Further the apartment would have a separate utility cum storeroom and a powder room/toilet, in addition to rest all 4 / 3 bedrooms. The prices for 4 BRs and 3 BRs range from Rs 2.55 crore to Rs 1.75 crore.

 

Nidec inaugurates new plant in Hubballi

Leading electric motor and data centre equipment manufacturer Nidec has inaugurated a new plant at the Dharwad-Beluru Industrial Area. The project is being developed with an investment of Rs 600 crore.

Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, inaugurated the project. The new plant would manufacture heavy-duty machines of 2 MW, 3 MW, and 4 MW capacity, essential for data centres, using advanced technology from Japan and France. Further, the firm has allocated 20 acres of land for its battery solutions unit.

 

Global Foundries to set up design and testing centre in Kolkata

Multinational semiconductor contract manufacturing and design company Global Foundries has plans to set up a fab-less centre for design and testing in Kolkata Power Centre. The West Bengal state government would provide land for the project. The land spread over 19,000 square feet to the company at the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) IT park would be allotted to the company in the eastern fringes of Kolkata’s Salt Lake. In another development, Santech Global Inc. has also expressed interest in setting up a semiconductor project in Kolkata.

 

Country Group acquires 13.3 acres of land in Ghaziabad, to develop a project with an investment of Rs 1.800 crore

Real estate developer Country Group has acquired 13.3 acres of land in Wave City, Ghaziabad, for about Rs 400 crore. The firm is planning to develop a project named Jade County with a planned saleable area of 3 million sq. ft.  As per updates the project would take an investment of Rs 1,800 crore.

The project will feature 1,000 residential units across nine high-rise towers, with delivery slated to begin in 2030. It would offer units across four apartment sizes— 2358 sq. ft, 2898 sq. ft, 3555 sq. ft, and 5094 sq. ft.

 

ZF Group inaugurates new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore

German technology manufacturing company ZF Group has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This would be the firm’s 19th manufacturing plant in India. This new facility would produce axles and transmissions for the construction and railway industries with an investment.

This new facility is built at an investment of Rs 192 crore. Spread over 10,000 square meters, the facility marks ZF Group’s 11th manufacturing site in Tamil Nadu.

 

DDA plans to develop a houseboat-style convention centre in Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has plans to develop a houseboat-style convention centre. As per DDA, the center would be developed at Baansera Park in Sarai Kale Khan and would be like the iconic Dal Lake houseboats, standing 8.8 metres tall and spread across multiple levels from a ground deck to an uppermost tier.

This project is a part of a broader vision of rejuvenating the Yamuna floodplain as a vibrant public space. The structure would be fixed, unlike the real houseboat a meeting room for 15 individuals, a reception area with a waiting lounge, dining facilities with a pantry, gallery space, and interiors to match with Kashmiri wood-carved jail, railing, among other things.

 

Ambuja Neotia Healthcare launches new hospital in Guwahati

Hospital chain Ambuja Neotia Healthcare has announced the launch of the new hospital in Guwahati. The firm launched the 100-bed super-speciality hospital named Neotia Bhagirathi Women and Childcare Centre, aiming to provide comprehensive care to women and children.

The hospital was inaugurated by Assam’s Chief Minister and will offer advanced clinical services in obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, infertility, and paediatrics.
