The subsidiary of multinational firm Alghanim Industries, Kirby Building Systems & Structures India, has performed the groundbreaking for its fourth manufacturing facility in Manapparai, Tamil Nadu. Spread over 33.2 acres, the facility will have an annual manufacturing capacity of 100,000 metric tonnes.

The facility is expected to commence operations by mid-2027 and will manufacture pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) and advanced structural steel solutions.

US-based pharmacy firm Walgreens's Indian arm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish its first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India in Chennai. The GCC will be located at the DLF Downtown Taramani complex along the government's newly designated Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) GCC corridor.

The subsidiary of Adani Group, Adani Power Ltd, laid the foundation of its thermal power project in Assam on Sunday. The state's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, laid the foundation for a Rs 48,000-crore, 3,200 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant at Chapar in Dhubri. The project is part of the Rs 1 lakh crore investment commitment made by Adani Group in the Northeast over the next decade.

Fashion brand Lifestyle has leased 24,000 sq ft of retail space from Bhumika Realty in Faridabad. The space is leased in an under-construction project named The Icon Faridabad, located at Sector 27A, Mewla Maharajpur, NH-19. According to the developer, The Icon Faridabad is a mixed-use project that will house a 25,000 sq ft multi-screen multiplex by PVR INOX.

Real estate major DLF has plans to launch a premium shopping mall in Goa by March 2027. Located at Plot No. 35, EDC Patto Plaza, Panaji, the project will require an investment of Rs 500 crore.  The commercial project is spread over 7 lakh square feet and is estimated to generate annual rental income of more than Rs 150 crore. According to DFL, 70-75% of the mall has already been leased to majors like PVR Cinema and Shoppers Stop among those who signed up.
